These guidelines help us maintain a safe, respectful, and trustworthy platform for every host and guest.

Respect

Treat every host, guest, and service provider with dignity and courtesy.

Safety

Keep yourself and others safe. Report anything that feels wrong.

Honesty

Provide accurate information in your listings, profiles, and reviews.

Fairness

Honor your commitments and follow through on bookings and agreements.

Expected Behavior

All users — hosts, guests, and service providers — are expected to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in listings, profiles, and communications
  • Communicate respectfully and respond promptly to booking inquiries
  • Honor confirmed bookings and follow cancellation policies
  • Leave honest, constructive reviews based on actual experiences
  • Follow venue rules, house policies, and capacity limits
  • Report safety concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity
  • Respect other users' privacy and personal information

Prohibited Behavior

The following actions are prohibited and may result in moderation action, including account warnings, suspension, or permanent removal.

Hate Speech, Slurs & Discrimination

Any form of hate speech, racial slurs, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

Harassment & Threats

Threatening, intimidating, bullying, or harassing other users — on or off the platform.

Illegal Activities

Using the platform to facilitate or promote illegal activities of any kind.

Fraud & Misrepresentation

Posting false or misleading listings, fake reviews, or providing fraudulent information.

Spam & Platform Manipulation

Flooding messages, manipulating reviews or search rankings, or creating duplicate accounts to abuse the platform.

Reviewed case-by-case by the moderation team

Circumventing Platform Processes

Attempting to complete transactions off-platform to avoid fees, or steering users away from PLEC's booking flow.

Property Damage & Unsafe Behavior

Causing damage to venues, violating safety codes, exceeding capacity limits, or engaging in reckless behavior at events.

Enforcement & Consequences

PLEC currently handles moderation case-by-case. While we may use progressive discipline, we also reserve discretion to act immediately based on risk, severity, and repeated behavior.

Warning or Education

For lower-severity violations, we may issue a warning or guidance on how to resolve the issue.

Temporary Suspension

Access may be restricted while we investigate or after repeated/pattern violations.

Permanent Removal

We may remove users from PLEC at our discretion when platform safety or integrity is at risk.

Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, contact support and request review. Appeals are reviewed by the team. At launch, review outcomes are discretionary and not guaranteed.
